 Downingtown Area School District Alumni 2018 Hall of Fame, Achievement in Athletics

Arlen played in the NFL for five seasons including stints with the St. Louis Rams, the Detroit Lions and the Atlanta Falcons. Inducted into the Chester County Sports Hall of Fame in 2017, Arlen was considered the top 3 running back coming out of Downingtown, Pa where he won a PIAA State Championship. He also played in the Big 33 All-Star game vs the top players in Ohio and walked away with MVP. He earned four letters at Downingtown High School as a running back and defensive back. He played for head coach John Barr his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons, and for head coach Jack Helm as a senior.
